THE NEWEST CIRCUIT IS COMPLETE

Formula 1 has released new views of the Madring before the championship races there for the first time. The 5.416 kilometre venue sits beside the IFEMA Exhibition Centre in north east Madrid and combines public roads with purpose built sections.

A COMPLETELY NEW CHALLENGE

All 22 drivers will begin the weekend without previous Grand Prix experience at the circuit. The mix of tight complexes, close walls and the heavily banked La Monumental corner means teams must learn the track quickly from first practice on Friday.

MADRID RETURNS TO THE CALENDAR

The event brings Formula 1 back to Madrid for the first time in more than four decades. Carlos Sainz has helped advise and promote the project, making the inaugural weekend a particularly significant home race for the Williams driver.
